Twice a year the members of the Parks Committee have a “Walkaround” to get a group appreciation of the park.
The aim is to share viewpoints of current standards in the park, view recent work that has happened and get an understanding of larger projects we could undertake in the future. The highlights of the session held on 31st May were as follows:
•    We are all looking forward to the new Park and Amenities Manager, Phil Nicholson starting next week.
•    Following the recent hot weather and significant rainfall there are areas in the park which need attention to improve accessibility and the overall look and feel.
•    There was some disappointment with the use of bicycles in the park as this is prohibited.
•    Discussions around potential improvements to the festival weekend. 
•    Work was progressing well with the development of the Football Club building for the new Town Council offices and Football Club.
•    Improvements to signage and noticeboards were discussed.
